The film received strong support from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its affiliated organization, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During the campaigning for the Karnataka assembly elections, the BJP used the film for its political messaging.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself endorsed the film during an election rally, claiming that it revealed a “conspiracy” and accusing the Indian National Congress, which opposed the film, of supporting terrorism. J. P. Nadda, the President of the BJP, organized special screenings of the film and invited “young Hindu girls” to watch it together.
Furthermore, the film received tax exemption in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, both under the governance of the BJP.
