The FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup is here

It’s Time! The FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup is finally here, beginning from today, 13-Jan-2023. At the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha, India, the 2023 Men’s Hockey World Cup debuted with a beautiful opening ceremony. Members of all 16 competing teams were welcomed at the spectacular ceremony by Tayyab Ikram, president of the International Hockey Federation, and Dilip Tirkey, chairman of Hockey India. 

The official anthem of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, “Hockey Hai Dil Mera,” was sung live by composer Pritam and the 11 singers who sang the original song .

Olly has captured the interest and imagination of people of the state throughout the years. Favourite among fans Olly, the mascot of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup, is having fun hanging out with hockey enthusiasts. 

A total of 44 games will be played. The Hockey World Cup 2023 schedule has already been announced. Today is the first match at 19:00 at Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela . The final game is taking place in Bhubaneswar on January 29 at 7 p.m. local time. 

Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela will be the venues for Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023. All teams will compete at both locations.
