2022 was not a very great year for bollywood, only a few movies did good business. Lockdown and OTT platforms have changed the habits of viewers resulting in less crowd in cineplexes.
In 2023 we have high hopes with quality content to be served to audiences. Let’s have a look at the upcoming movies that are anticipated by all.

1. Takht

        (Drama, Period)

The movie stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar,  Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles, it is a drama directed by Karan Johar.

It tells the tale of the conflict between brothers brought on by the throne’s succession. Takht, is a family drama set in the Mughal era that is entwined between the feelings of love, ambition, and greed. It features a sibling being betrayed by another brother for political gain (Takht).

2. Kuttey

(crime, Thriller)

In this movie, important roles are played by Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Radhika Madan, Naseeruddin Shah, and Konkona Sen Sharma.

3. Pathaan

Most dangerous criminals in the town now reside in lavish houses that formerly belonged to the wealthy somewhere in the gloomy Middle East. The drug dealer who murdered his own father will be brought down by an undercover police officer, his former, and others.

In Siddharth Anand’s action-thriller movie Pathaan, The RAW agents will be portrayed by Khan and Deepika Padukone. John Abraham, who plays the movie’s antagonist, is also featured in the movie as well.

4. Dunki

(Comedy, Drama)

Shah Rukh Khan plays the lead role in Rajkumar Hirani’s Hindi film Dunki. The movie is reportedly an immigration story taking place in a Punjabi village. The plot of the movie is on the illegal Donkey Flight route that Indian immigrants take to enter nations like Canada and the USA.

5. Adipurush

(Action, Adventure, History)

An adaptation of Indian history called Adipurush shows the victory of good over evil. Hinduism frequently refers to Lord Ram as Adi Purusha. In the film, Prabhas will play Lord Rama while Saif Ali Khan will play Lankesh, the demon King Ravana. This movie is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of 2023.

6. Swatantra Veer Savarkar

Tribute to one of India’s greatest unsung heroes in the country’s fight for self-realisation and independence. This movie shows the life journey of Veer Savarkar, also known as Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, an Indian freedom fighter and reformer. In a recent interview with THE WEEK, actor Randeep Hooda stated that before accepting the role of Savarkar, he thoroughly researched Savarkar and came to understand him.

7. Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar

Film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a Hindi film with Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in the key roles alongside Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor. A romantic comedy movie directed by Luv Ranjan. The movie is written by Ranjan and Rahul Mody, and it was made by T-Series and Luv Films.

8. Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani
